Shoes Tidbits

1. Be careful when buying discunted shoes, especially those which aren’t made of leather. Synthetic leather only lasts less than two years. Check whether it’s still good by softly scratching the surface. If it is easily peeled off, don’t buy the shoes!

2. If you want to store your shoes for a long period, don’t forget to put silica gel in the box on keep them dry.

3. Leather shoes need to be polished periodically to keep them shine.

4. Keep leather and suede shoes dry. Wearing your shoes in the rain or in the snow will ruin the material.

5. If you take profer care of your shoes, the soles should wear out before the leather uppers do. If the leather uppers still look good, have the soles replaced.

6. Canvas shoes can be washed. But if the color is non-fast, better not to do it. (C’Ns vol.7 no.50 & www.m3nok.co.cc)
